I’ve been offering these upgrade parts for Khorns and Belles for a very long time now, and while I used to offer to sell the parts individually, I am no longer doing that. Volti Tweeters

I’m always on the hunt for great sounding high-sensitivity tweeters to use in my speakers. Choices are limited. Most high-sensitivity tweeters are made for P.A. use and they have that irritating 8Khz – 10Khz peak that is a hallmark of P.A. tweeters. That may work for Klipsch, but it doesn’t work for me. The Volti Tweeter is one of those rare pieces that offers smooth and extended response from a very high-quality compression driver and a 1″-throat horn lens. Blends perfectly with the V-Trac horn and never calls attention to itself in a negative way, like the Klipsch tweeters do.

Midrange Drivers

The stock Khorn midrange horn (all models) is a perfect horn to use if you want to illustrate what a ‘honky’ horn sounds like. The tiny (11/16″ diameter inlet), and long throat of this horn, is responsible for creating colorations and a constricted sound to the midrange that is completely unacceptable by modern horn speaker standards, and also completely fixable with the upgrade to the Volti Audio Khorn V-TracII Horns.

You’ll be amazed at how this midraA very important part of the Volti Audio Khorn Upgrade package is to replace those old K55 midrange drivers (originally designed as firehouse station siren drivers – yes really), with modern, very high quality, 2″ outlet midrange compresson drivers. I offer two different choices, both chosen because of their diaphragms made of natural materials like paper and/or phenolic material, as opposed to metal. In combination with the big, 2″-throat, wooden, hand-built V-Trac midrange horns, they are nothing short of amazing in terms of providing that effortless, full, rich, spacious midrange sound that Volti Audio is known for.
